Seems like forever
since I posted, but really only a few days. My head has hurt (at least a dull ache) since Sunday, I believe. I'm hoping it'll be gone by Monday- but I don't manage to update (or exercise!) as often when my head is pounding.
I finally got the labwork back which I'm going to post here for my own reference. You may want to skip the parts I'll put in different colors, as they are tedious I'm sure.
here goes:
HEMOGLOBIN A1c
MAGNESIUM
Basically everything was fine, my cholesterol is not bad but the "good" (HDL) chol. could be higher... not sure what to do about that though. My A1C is going down (was 7.2 last July, 6.2 last week). My Endocrinologist did put me on chromagen, which is iron w/B12 and Vit C. Evidently I'm going to have to take iron, b12, and a host of other vitamins and minerals forever now. Joy. But it's better than high blood pressure and diabetes meds, so I'll take it!
Yesterday we went to Hansel & Gretel(it'sa horrible story really, even if it ends "well"). I didn't love it, and DBall hasn't said anything about it so I'm waiting to see if he had any thoughts on it. Then I checked him in at Walker Elem so he could do his part in the play they did for the school. He did even better than the Monday night performance I thought! After school we went to the park with a coupleof homeschool groups.... Celeste suggested we get my exercise in (yay Celeste!). We walked on their really long trail, and DBall rode his scooter. Unfortunately he somehow nose-dived off the thing and skinned his knee and banged up his nose. It was a little purplish for a while there and it's scratched, but it doesn't seem to be broken.
Today I've got a musical/play at Church and this afternoon we're going to see Magic Treehouse (musical/play) at Walton. Kind of hoping my head doesn't hurt through the whole thing!
